German Glass-Eyed Bisque Character, 6970, by Gebruder Heubach

Pink-tinted bisque socket head, pale blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, short-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the downcast pouting lips, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique brown velvet costume, leather ankle shoes, cap and carrying little tin horn. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6970 Germany 1. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: most endearing wistful expression on the little fellow, choice bisque and costume.
