Porcelain shoulderhead, blonde sculpted hair drawn away from face into formed pageboy curls, held by a black hair band and sculpted and painted hair snood at the back, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain arms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1865, the model is known as Alice in Wonderland for its resemblance to the Alice figure made famous by British illustrator John Tenniel in mid-1800s. Value Points: signature headband coiffure with storyline appeal.
