German Porcelain Half-Doll "Flapper in Top Hat"

5" (13 cm.) Waist-up porcelain figure of flapper-era lady posed with arms outstretched in front, with bent elbows, and expressively-posed hands, her slender head leaning to the side and with little spit curls peeking from beneath the modeled black top hat that she wears, with painted brown eyes and grey eyeliner. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1920, the highly-stylized lady's top hat was inspired by performances of Nolly DoRey and Josephine Baker at the Folies Bergere of Paris.
