German Porcelain Half-Doll "Jenny Lind" as Pincushion by Goebel with Exceptional Decoration

15" (38 cm.) overall. 6" doll. Waist-up porcelain half-doll with pink tinted complexion, sculpted brown hair with three ringlet curls at each side of face and topknot chignon decorated with ribbons, bands and flowers, with arms daintily held in front of bosom, a rose in her right hand, and fingers of her left hand held to her face. Her costume is decorated with transfer-printed roses, she is attached to original pincushion base with blue silk skirt. Excellent condition. Germany, Goebel, circa 1918, the doll appeared in that year's catalog described as "Nr.117/IV Jenny Lind, anno 1849", portraying the famed Swedish opera singer known as "Swedish Nightingale", this example having extra luxury details of decoration.
