23" (58 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead of adult lady with oval face, elongated throat, black sculpted hair waved smoothly around the sides of her head and captured in a black snood with gilt-accented ruffles and a cluster of blue grapes at her crown, painted blue downcast eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single- stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body with porcelain lower limbs, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, some rubs on hair. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rare model with wonderfully-detailed snood and hair decorations.
