German Porcelain Seated Lady in Porcelain Chair,the Medieval Series by Dressel Kister

16" (41 cm.) seated. Waist-up porcelain figure of nude woman with very elaborately sculpted head-dress featuring a gold textured helmet with turquoise edging beneath an elaborately pointed and draped scarf,with jointed arms,the left arm holding a box,and with cloth lower torso and legs,porcelain lower legs,silk and embroidered costume. The doll is posed seated upon original porcelain chair with tasseled rose cushion,and attaches permanently to the chair by hidden screw beneath the chair. Mark not visible. Excellent condition of doll and chair,except lacking lid of box she is holding. Dressel Kister,circa 1900,from their Medieval series. Property of the Strong Museum.
