Wax over paper mache shoulder head with oval-shaped face and elongated throat,blue glass enamel inset eyes,outlined eyes,painted brows and lips of closed mouth,original blonde mohair wig in elaborate coiffure,original muslin shapely body with paper mache lower arms and legs,painted fancy brown boots and painted yellow gloves. Condition: generally excellent,some retouch on right leg and right glove. Comments: Germany,circa 1875,the German "fashion doll" or Staatdamen,attributed to Dressel. Value Points: fine presence of the doll who is wearing original blue linen/wool dress and cape with braid trim,undergarments,woven feathered bonnet.
