14 . German Porcelain Half-Doll "Flapper Lady Holding Polichinelle" in Original Pincushion Presentation
8 1/2" (22 cm.) Waist-up porcelain nude half-doll with sculpted grey-streaked hair drawn from her face into very full curls at the nape, pale blue stove-pipe bonnet overlaid with an unusual blue ribbon-edged feather which forms into a large bow, and three additional bows at the bonnet tip with cascading pink ribbons below, arms modeled away from her body with daintily posed hands. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1915, attributed to Aesteste Volkstedter Porzellanfabrick, a rare large size of the elaborately-sculpted half-doll with an extraordinary bonnet.
