Grand-Size and Extremely Rare Cloth "Sunflower the Clown" from Posey Pets Series

37" (94 cm.) All-cloth of firmly-stuffed white twill, pink sewn-on shoes, triple-seamed face, stitched-on white felt over-sized ears, sunflower-shaped eyes, pink tassel nose to match the tassel on his aqua clown hat, aqua felt brows, hot pink felt mouth. He is wearing blue and pink satin clown suit with double-tiered ruffled collar. The costume has cloth tag "Madame Alexander New York USA". Near mint condition. Madame Alexander, 1951, he appeared as "Sunflower, a Great Big Beautiful Clown" in the 1951 Easter Promenade ad of Alexander, and wears a Fashion Award tag on his wrist.
