2 1/2" (6 cm.) h. sewing table. The Biedermeier-style miniature sewing table with hinged lid has mirror interior and a number of tiny paper-lined niches containing various sewing supplies including a tiny chatelaine; along with 1 1/2" leather-cased hinged box with scissors, thimble, awl; 3" leather-cased hinged box with silk lining containing scissors, thimble, awl and needle case; and 2" metal case with gilt edging and blue silk lining containing scissors, thimble, thread. Excellent condition. Mid-1800s.
