Bisque shoulder head with untinted complexion,blonde sculpted hair waved away from her face with unusual ringlet curls forming a coronet,and forming into arranged finger curls behind her ears,held by a black hair ribbon,painted blue eyes in deeply-set sockets,red and black upper eyeliner,brown single stroke brows,rounded nose with accented nostrils,closed mouth with pert smile,blushed cheeks,muslin stitch-jointed body,kid arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1870. Value Points: unusual highly-personalized expression with very fine sculpting,rare coiffure,fine antique costume.

15" (38 cm.) l. x 21"h. x 8"d. The wooden-framed two story house has lithographed paper cover,including faux-stone front,and brick-work at the sides and back. The front windows and door are framed with thick wooden strips with pencil-stripe detail,and there is a fancy metal railing that extends the entire width of the second floor and the windows of the first floor. A carved wide front door (possibly replaced) is hinged for opening. There is a crest carving at the front roof line that meets more metal railings at the side,creating an open-sky garden area on the roof. The front hinges open to two interior rooms with original floor and wall papers,possibly original curtains. The house is pencil-marked 19 and other illegible markings. Germany,circa 1890.

35" (89 cm.) l. x 13"h. x 18"d. The thick-wooden-walled two-room kitchen has original honey-toned wood-stained exterior walls to match the built-in furnishings,sea-green painted interior walls and painted diagonal checkerboard floor. Attached to the walls are three full-depth shelves with plate racks,four benches or work tables,and a large paneled cupboard. An early cast iron stove has brass oven doors and towel bar,and three copper pots and a wooden-handled iron. There are 20 early earthenware bowls,jugs or molds,seven additional copperwares,nine stoneware jugs or bowls with blue designs,and various other items of kitchenware. Excellent condition. Germany,circa 1875.
