Italian Felt Character "Rita" by Lenci in Original Costume

14" (36 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, blue upper glancing eyes, painted lashes, dark eye shadow, closed mouth with accent dots on bottom lip, black mohair wig with coiled chignon at the back, jointing at the shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (paper label which has ink-script ‘Rita/30' on the back side). Comments: Lenci, circa 1936. Value Points: fresh vibrant colors of orange/brown/yellow folklore costume with embroidered chickens and rooster, carrying basket of felt fruit.
