Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, separately-applied pierced ears, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, lovely antique rose and silk ivory costume, feathered bonnet, undergarments, socks, shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose E 8 J (body) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884. Value Points: dramatic large eyes highlight her beautiful face with lovely painting, original body and body finish, original leather shoes incised "Bebe Jumeau Depose 8".

Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E (head and shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1868, early version of the firm's deposed smiling poupee with original Bru deposed wooden articulated body. Of finest white porcelain with hand-painted designs of wildflower sprays and colorful butterflies, and with gilt edging, the service for four comprises six large dinner plates, six smaller plates, six scalloped rim dessert plates, oval and round platters, four lidded tureens in various sizes, two footed bowls, one footed fruit bowl, and relish dish, along with four napkin rings, four forks, four spoons, ladle, two glass relish dishes, four goblets and two decanters, each tied into the box with original rose silk bows. Along with four linen napkins with woven butterfly design. The wooden box has floral-lithographed paper cover with gilt edging and hinges open to a multi-tiered arrangement with pink paper shelving and embossed gilt paper edging. French, circa 1880, the superb state of preservation is enhanced by the luxury origin of the presentation, and wonderful "butterfly" theme.

Carved wooden socket head with bald pate, painted white clown complexion with painted facial features, wide smile, red and black painted clown decorations on face, wooden torso, wooden arms jointed at shoulders with attached wooden gloved hands, wooden legs with hinge-jointing at hips to allow seated pose, wooden painted red shoes on feet, wearing black and white clown costume and cap which appears original. Condition: generally excellent, original finish overall with small paint restoration on forehead. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1910, the very rare exhibition clown was created on commission for toy stores as promotion for the firm's Humpty Dumpty Circus and very few are known to exist.
