Light brown curly mohair teddy has swivel head, rounded nose muzzle with brown embroidered nose, amber glass eyes, stitched ears, jointed shorter arms and legs with felt paw lads, and with original Steiff button in ear and yellow tag (number illegible). Along with Steiff colorful mohair balls enclosed in original woven netting. Excellent condition. Steiff. circa 1960.

Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows with decorative glaze, accent nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body with straight wrists, lovely silk and lace dress, bonnet, aqua kidskin shoes, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9. Comments: Kestner, the model is known as "A.T. Kestner" in reference to its close resemblance to the French bebe marked A.T. Value Points: the rarity of the beautiful doll is rivaled by its beauty and fine condition, original body and body finish.

12" (30 cm.) The heavy tinplate carriage has four double-sided spoked wheels, hinged sunshade with original silk covers, wooden hand grip, and original aqua and cream finish with blue flowers and gilt scrolled accents. Excellent condition. Germany, Maerklin, circa 1895.

Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white knee socks with blue rimes, pale pink heeled ankle boots, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Simon and Halbig, circa 1880. Value Points: very fine all-bisque, wonderfully-detailed body, expressive features, rare painted boots.

Bisque socket head with very plump face, dark blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows with feathered highlights, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed plump body with flat-cut derriere, straight wrists, early bronze green satin dress, woven bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SCH (in shield 4 (on head) SCH (on flat edge of derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880, early period bebe by that firm. Value Points: finest quality of bisque complexion and painting of features, original body and body finish.

Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes and brushstroked brows, rose-blushed eyeshadow, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with upturned lip corners, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, dimpled chin, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, slender kid bebe body with scalloped upper trim, Chevrot-hinged hips, wooden lower legs, bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 7 (head and shoulders). (Bru paper label on chest). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, Chevrot era, circa 1886. Value Points: The lovely bebe with soft subtle blushing of complexion has original wig, sturdy original body, perfect bisque hands, and is wearing early Bru aqua silk dress and bonnet with lace trim, undergarments, leather shoes signed Bru Jne Paris (in oval), and is in base of original wooden box.

Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with shapely torso and gusset-jointing, bisque arms to elbow, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: expressive features with pertly shaped lips, very sturdy and clean body, rare "A Deux Bonjours" bonnet.
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque slender torso, bright blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with hint of smile, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed slender elongated bisque arms and legs, bare feet, wearing original silk gown. Condition: generally excellent, tiny back torso chip at neckline. Comments: French, circa 1882, the mignonettes were presented as "poupees de poche" (pocket dolls) in reference to the diminutive size. Value Points: lovely expression, choice bisque, rare bisque bare feet.
