The Private 50-Year Collection of Hanne Büktas of Vienna, Austria - Half Dolls, Tea Cozies, Pincushion, Bathing Beauties and Other Lady Figures. This extraordinary collection of more than 700 rare French and German pieces spans 1900-1930s and features classic ladies of elegance as well as Art Deco and Art Nouveau themed figures of women. Many are presented as waist-up figures, while others have original pincushion or tea-cozy attachments, and still others form into delightful powder puffs, candy box lids, or bibelot boxes. 4" (10 cm.) Waist-up bisque nude lady, solid dome with brunette mohair wig, painted features, very shapely torso, arms extended from body, a book held in her right hand. Excellent condition, tiniest flake on inside of one finger. Marks: 5690. Germany, circa 1920, the lady has a beautiful necklace of blue beads and tiny gilt beads.

Waist-up bisque lady, her head tilted sharply to the side as she appears to be having a conversation with the exotic bird which perches on her arm, white mohair wig, generous modeling of bosom, painted corset, arms modeled away from her body, attached to original candy box base with silk skirt overlay. Waist-up porcelain lady with head tilted to the side, brown sculpted curly hair beneath a wide-brimmed yellow bonnet trimmed with purple bow, aqua-green bow and extended streamers and pink throat bow and streamers, with sculpted costume and arms with bent elbows, holding hanky in left hand. Excellent condition except thumb tip missing right hand. Germany, circa 1915, wonderful detail of rare bonnet.

Waist-up porcelain lady with brown sculpted hair drawn loosely from her face and captured in elaborate curls at the back, with rolled curls at her crown circled by gilt-edged blue hair band, arms bent at the elbow and held modestly in front of her nude bodice, a flower held in her right hand. Marked D 445 (incised). Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1915, attributed to Kister.

Waist-up porcelain lady with sculpted light brown hair in flowing curls under a flat-topped cap trimmed with a garland of tiny flowers and leaves and with cascades of blue ribbon streamers at the back, sculpted pink blouse with double row of blue ruffles, holding gold object in her hands, arms bent at elbows and slightly extended from torso. Marks: 5105. Excellent condition, tiniest flake on underside of left baby finger. Germany, circa 1915.

Waist-up porcelain lady with very slender torso, her face turned sharply to the side to accentuate the angular cut of her bobbed brown hair with defined separation lines at the bangs, brown side-glancing eyes, gold earrings. She is posed with arms bent at the elbow and holding a masquerade mask. Marks: (blue bishop staff stamp). Excellent condition. Germany, Dressel, Kister, circa 1925, the highly-stylized coiffure was known as the Lulu Bob in reference to the early silent film star Lulu Brooke. The minimalist half-doll is highly sophisticated in its modeling and presence, this example notable for its brown hair.

Waist-up porcelain lady with stylized slender flapper torso, short cropped brown flapper style hair, grey eyeshadow, painted earrings, her arms bent at the elbows and extended away from her body, a lipstick in right hand and an open compact in the left, attached to original pincushion skirt which is then attached to porcelain legs with gilt painted shoes, posed on porcelain base, original green silk and gilt metallic costume.
