Large German Bisque Character Boy with Sculpted Hair, Model 2048, by Bruno Schmidt

Solid domed bisque socket head, sculpted short boyish hair in side-parted fashion waved across his forehead, small blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in cream woolen boy's suit with matching cap, undergarments, stockings, shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: BSW (in heart) 2048-6. Comments: Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912. Value Points: fine larger size of the distinctively-modeled boy doll with excellent detail of hair sculpting, original body and body finish.
