Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, two upper teeth, tongue, brunette mohair bobbed wig, French composition and wooden fully jointed toddler body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 251 Paris 4 (head) Fabrication SFBJ Paris (body). Comments: SFBJ, circa 1917. Value Points: fine original state of the doll which is presented in her original layered French multi-layered trunk containing three dresses, night shirt, cape, bibs, undergarments, original shoes, and, notably, a sampler with the child owner's name "Marguerite Simon" embroidered in red, alphabet, numbers, and the date 1916-1917.
