Similar luxury necessaries were offered by Parisian firms such as Palais Royale of Paris, created under their commissioned design, and the music box is likely Swiss. The necessaire de voyage was designed to accompany elegant ladies on their travels. Circa 1815. 6 3/4"L. x 5"D. x 3"H.
