A wooden case is designed with inlaid wood, bone and mother-of-pearl and hinges open to a lined interior of silk faille and ivory velvet with recesses for placement of original sewing tools which comprise a gilt-handled scissors, stiletto, thimble and needle case. Excellent condition. French, early 1800s.
