German All-Bisque Toddler, model 178, with Wonderful Costume

6" (15 cm.) Bisque swivel head on bisque torso, brown glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth modeled as though open, loop-jointed bisque arms and toddler legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 178 2/0. Comments: Hertel and Schwab, circa 1915. Value Points: seldom-found little toddler made more dear by delightful costume with Scottish plaid pants and tam, leather slippers.
