8" (20 cm.) All-wooden doll with black complexion, swivel head, painted facial features, jointing at shoulders and hips, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Schoenhut, depicted is African Native from their Teddy's Adventures in Africa series, 1909. Value Points: very fine original condition with choice original painting, with original wrapped turban and wrap, and with rare wooden drum with leather strap and wooden drumstick.
