Wonderful and Very Rare Early Peddler's Caravan with Wares

20" (51 cm.) l (30" including steps) x 12" x 16". The wooden caravan with natural finish, has green and red pencil stripes and accents, faux painted shutters, domed roof with painted shingles, cast iron spoked wheels, hinged half door at the back, and driver's seat at the front, with original detachable steps, and some few wooden furnishings. The exterior of the caravan is laden on all four sides with more than 100 tin-wares along with other notions and goods. Excellent condition. The caravan was used by traveling peddlers for presenting their wares to country folks. Mid-1800s, very rare and wonderfully-preserved.
