Beautiful and Rare German Bisque Closed Mouth Child, 1448, Simon and Halbig

16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pensive expression, accent line between the very full lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: reglue at back of head with overpaint and one line on forehead above the left eye (lines visible only with light), all features retain original painting. Marks: 1448 Simon & Halbig S&H 6.
