All-Original French Bisque Bebe Jumeau in Silk Costume with Signed Shoes

Bisque socket head, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, widely arched brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8 (head, and untinted white space). Comments: Jumeau, circa 1892, the model was commissioned from Jumeau by a Paris department store, likely Au Samaritaine, whose paper label would originally have been affixed to the back of the doll head. Value Points: pristine unplayed with condition, the doll wears her store-original ivory patterned silk dress with Alencon lace collar, matching bonnet with exquisite detail of back of head, signed Jumeau shoes, and has very beautiful face, complexion, and coiffure.
