wraps and engraving,hinges open to reveal well-fitted interior,comprising bisque doll with
brown glass sleep eyes,painted facial features,open mouth,four teeth,pierced ears,blonde
mohair wig,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body,and contents. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Dep 0. Comments: circa 1895,for the French market,the doll and
trousseau were likely prepared for a luxury boutique Etrennes gift. Value Points: in unplayed
with condition,the superb presentation includes six luxurious silk or woolen ensembles,each
with dress or coat and bonnet (one being an unusual Pierrette costume and including a
bisque-headed miniature marotte); a hidden lower level presents six undergarments,a
porcelain wash set,and two glass-topped boxes with 12 miniature accessories including
perfume,soap,brushes,fingerless gloves,and more.
