Bisque socket head with cafe-au-lait complexion,brown glass sleep eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly black lashes,black brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented nostrils of pointy-tip nose,closed mouth with coral-shaded lips,pierced ears,black fleecy wig over plaster pate,brown composition and wooden fully-jointed early body with loose ball joints at hips and shoulders,straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 11. Comments: Kestner,circa 1885,the model was made to resemble the French bebe by Thuillier marked A.T.,with the aim of winning the French market for German dolls. Value Points: rare model,especially rare with this beautiful light brown complexion,wearing antique lace costume and beautiful woven bonnet.
