Comments: Leopold Lambert with Jumeau bisque head,circa 1890,when wound,music plays and the little girl turns her head side-to-side,nods,and alternately lifts the little all-bisque doll that she is holding as though to kiss her,and then the basket filled with other toys including a paper mache nodding head donkey with tinier candy baskets and an ormolu birdcage with bird,as though to admire them. Value Points: model from Lambert's child series,this example is perfectly-preserved with choice bisque,gorgeous wig,original ivory cream dress with silk ribbon trim,matching bonnet with feathered trim,wonderful early toys,original paper tune label on underside,and functioning perfectly.
