German Bisque Character

18" (46 cm). Bisque socket head, painted facial features, pale blue eyes, heavily modelled eyelids with thick brown upper eyeliner, one stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. CONDITION: Generally excellent, right hand retouched. MARKS: K*R 101 46. COMMENTS: Kammer and Reinhardt, the model "Marie" from their art character series, circa 1910. VALUE POINTS: Very beautiful wistful-faced child with choice bisque and sculpting, lovely antique costume and shoes, carrying little jointed brown bear with velvet paws and silver button in ear.
