Dark eyeliner encircles the deep sockets of the creamy bisque doll creating the perfect frame for the rich brown paperweight inset eyes. The doll has pressed bisque socket head with softly blushed complexion, painted lashes and brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined and shaded lips, heart-shaped upper lip, modelled space between the lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, original composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. The doll is wearing antique costume comprising blue silk dropped waist dress with Alencon lace trim, blue silk ribbons, matching bonnet, undergarments, socks, leather shoes with silver buckles, turquoise earrings. Signed "Depose E. 3 J." on head with artist's checkmarks and "Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris" on body. Emile Jumeau, circa 1885. 11" (28 cm).
