Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9. Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882, the model known as "Bebe Triste" in reference to its wistful expression. Value Points: rare smallest size of the triste bebe, original body and body finish, wearing superb couturier costume from the Ernestine Jumeau atelier including dress, matching bonnet, socks, and ivory silk shoes impressed "Bebe Jumeau" in gilt lettering.
