Bisque socket head with plump rounded face, very pale complexion, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, rose blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, delicately-shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, one-piece nickel-sized reglue at top of back crown rim. Marks: Sie C 5 (incised) J. Steiner Bte SGDG J Bourgoin Suc (red ink signature on head) (caduceus stamp on body). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1882. Value Points: the rare grand-sized bebe has superb quality of bisque and painting, splendid eyes, original body and body finish, all complemented by antique costume comprising blue velvet coat, lace frock, undergarments, shoes, and elegant bonnet.
