brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth,extravagantly modeled and painted
curling mustache,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,kid poupee body with stitched and
separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French,circa 1880,probably
Gaultier. Value Points: rare modeled mustache,the gentleman wears a fine suit and symbols
representing his role as a wine-maker including silk twill vest with hand-painted grape
leaves,woolen suit,and cap,boutonniere of white grapes and grape leaf,medallion award
ribbon,and wooden handled scythe.
