Waist-up porcelain half-doll of nude woman with grey sculpted hair under lavender Charlotte cap with three tiers of ruffles upon which is resting a porcelain basket abundantly filled with multi-colored Dresden flowers, with arms modeled from body as though balancing the basket and with separately-sculpted fingers. Marks: (blue bishop's staff stamp). Excellent condition. Germany, Dressel & Kister, circa 1911, the model, 4347, was featured in the 1911 catalog of the firm. Extraordinary detail of workmanship includes the variegated flowers and leaves which even peek out from the sides of the basket, and the bird which perches on the basket side.
