Waist-up porcelain nude lady in dramatic pose, her head sharply turned sideways and down as she extends her right arm to gaze at her engagement ring, her left arm bent at the elbow and held to her flowered pink hat, with dramatic brown coiffure featuring long flowing curls onto her shoulders. Excellent condition. Bearing blue crown stamp of Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanfabrik. Germany, circa 1915, the outstanding large half-doll features such details as richly-painted bracelet, brown streamers at the back of hat, separately-sculpted fingers, superb painting of facial features, and rare coiffure.
