Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1078 Simon & Halbig S&H Germany 3/0. Comments: for the French market, circa 1890. Value Points: the elegant pair are wearing richly embellished silk costumes of Marquis and Marquise and are presented, unplayed with, in luxury silk-covered box with embroidered lid and delicate image of a courtly couple on the inside lid.
