12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with darker blue outer irises, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pale accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing at hips and knees, square-cut collarette, bisque lower arms and hands, separately-sculpted fingers, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, the model was deposed by Bru in that year. Value Points: beautiful quality of bisque enhancing the gently smiling poupee, with original body having rare bisque hands.
