Rare Carved Fleece-Coated Reindeer from FAO Schwarz

13" (33 cm.) l. The carved wooden reindeer standing with head turned alertly to the side, has golden fleeced coat, amber glass eyes, black snout and hoofs, and carved detachable antlers. The reindeer has applied leather harness and saddle blanket. Excellent condition. Mid-1900s, an identical reindeer with clockwork mechanism was offered at FAO Schwartz during this era, and this is likely a variation of that presentation.
