Rare Composition "Princess Flavia" from 1938 Portrait Series

21" (53 cm.) All composition with socket head, blue sleep eyes, real lashes, smokey-grey eyeshadow, three painted lashes at each outer eye corner, closed mouth with bow-shaped dark red lips, blonde human hair in elaborate coiffure with coiled side braids which loop up into a coiled chignon at the crown and that are wrapped with a metallic tiara accented with "rubies" and pearls, jointing at shoulders and hips with long slender limbs. She is wearing ivory brocade robe over lace underdress which forms a front center panel, with lace collar studded with black beads and a burgundy velvet banner with "ruby" brooch, petticoat, pantalets, stockings, ivory silk faille shoes, and with finger ring, pearl dangle earrings and pearl necklace. The doll has facial crazing with splits at upper eye rims, light crazing on arms, costume is in excellent condition. Madame Alexander, 1938, "Princess Flavia" from her Portrait Series, the doll represented the character from the 1937 film, "The Princess of Zenda".
