Pale bisque socket head with plump facial modeling and very high domed forehead,brown glass inset eyes,delicately painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accent line between the pale lips,blushed cheeks,unpierced ears,mohair wig,early composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips,pretty antique silk dress and bonnet,undergarments,leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B.E. (block letters). Comments: mystery maker,few examples of dolls with this marking have been found,body and facial styling indicate early production,circa 1882. Value Points: the rarity of the early German child doll is rivaled by its wonderful expression,fine quality of bisque,original body and body finish,original costume.
