Rare German Bisque Painted Eye Googly by Goebel

7" (18 cm.) Bisque socket head with solid dome,sculpted short hair with modeled forelock curls,"O" shaped large painted side- glancing googly eyes,painted upper dark lashes,dash brows,tiny nose,"O" shaped closed mouth modeled as though open,composition five piece toddler body,nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent,feet worn. Marks: (Goebel symbol) N 11/0 Germany. Comments: Goebel,circa 1918,the painted eye version of #57. Value Points: rare googly character with wonderfully expressive features,choice bisque.
