Rare German Porcelain Half-Doll "Flapper Lady with Lulu Bob and Mask" Dressel & Kister

5" (13 cm.) Waist-up porcelain lady with very slender torso, her face turned sharply to the side to accentuate the angular cut of her bobbed brown hair with defined separation lines at the bangs, brown side-glancing eyes, gold earrings. She is posed with arms bent at the elbow and holding a masquerade mask. Marks: (blue bishop staff stamp). Excellent condition. Germany, Dressel, Kister, circa 1925, the highly-stylized coiffure was known as the Lulu Bob in reference to the early silent film star Lulu Brooke. The minimalist half-doll is highly sophisticated in its modeling and presence, this example notable for its brown hair.
