Carved wooden socket head with well-defined sculpting of facial features, ears and hair, having dark brown hair with deeply-defined comb-marks waved away from face into a tight bun at the nape, painted brown eyes, thick black upper eyeliner, brown one-stroke brows, closed mouth, fully-sculpted ears, all-wooden body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Huggler of Brienz, Switzerland, early 20th century. Value Points: rare large size of the hard-to-find doll has superb sculpting, and is all-original, wearing well-detailed traditional Swiss costume including wonderful patterned wool petticoat and original shoes.
