A hand-colored bust of a beautiful woman of the Romantic era is centered on a 5" x 4.5" pasteboard card,and can be "dressed" by overlay of any of the eight images with water-color costume and cut-out face. The overlays include costumes of Swiss,Cherbourg and Bordeaux,as well as high fashion Parisian attire of the years 1816,1825 and 1826,each identified in delicate script at the bottom of the card. The set is contained in original folio with marbleized paper. Excellent condition,moderate wear on folio. French,circa 1826.
