3 " shoulder width. 8 1/1" waist. 13" overall length. A crisp white cotton printed with very narrow pin-stripes in red and back,forms into a gown with low rounded neckline,slightly-high waist,short sleeves,fitted bodice,flat-front skirt that gains fullness from tight-cartridge pleating at the sides and back. The gown is trimmed by same-fabric bands at the collar and sleeve edges and has three tiers of skirt ruffles. Circa 1860.
