Three Softpaste Figures Depicting Brownies from Palmer Cox Series

6" (15 cm.) and 8". Each is of creamy softpaste depicting a googly-faced character with grimacing expression, from the original illustrations of Palmer Cox inspired by his tales of the Brownies. Included is a humidor with removable hat which forms a lid, and two candle sticks including Policeman and Sailor, each with sculpted costumes. Police and humidor excellent, sailor has extensive reglue on the base. Circa 1895.
