Of very crisp cream-bronze silk,designed to be wrapped around a very slender-bodied doll,the tablier has a metallic-thread-embroidered bib,hand-stitched darts to give shaping,and superb hand-worked crewel embroidery depicting various flowers,petals and leaves. Circa 1800.
