Two German All-Bisque "Mibs" by Amberg

5" (13 cm.) -6". Each is all-bisque with pink tinting, sculpted golden-brown hair in short curls with forelock curl onto forehead, head modeled tucked into torso, painted features with downcast eyes, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted brown one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: c. L.A. Sons Germany. Comments: Germany, circa 1920, the doll was introduced by Louis Amberg, inspired by the child in the 1920 book, Phyllis May and her Dollies by Hazel Drukker. Value Points: rare to find little models.
