Two German Mechanical Clowns by Schuco in Original Boxes

4 1/2" (11 cm.) Each is tin with mechanism enclosed within torso, having tin mask face with painted features, the bodies with attached bright felt costumes, and each with large tin feet; one is holding a drum and drumsticks, and the other has a circle of balloons attached to his bow tie. When wound, they pivot about, the balloons twirl, and the drum is beaten. Condition: generally excellent, functions well, one key. Marks: Schuco (keys). Comments: Schuco, Germany, circa 1930s. Value Points: the amusing toys are preserved in their colorful original boxes.
