Two Rare 19th Century Accessories

8" (20 cm.) overall l. chatelaine. Including an elaborate gold-plated chatelaine with design of cherub, from which is suspended a green velvet coin purse, and with diamond-point links which also suspend a little cup and a key. Along with a gilded metal book whose lid is decorated with turquoise, ruby and turquoise beads which encircle a hand-painted porcelain portrait of fashionable lady, and which opens to silk-lined interior with paper pages. Excellent condition. _Late 19th century.
