26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head with cameo-shaped face and well-defined chin, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, rose-blushed eye shadow, painted dark curly lashes, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with gently-formed smile accentuated by center accent line, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. 3/4" dark line above left ear which may be original. Marks: 11 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, his 223 model from the 1892 art character series. Value Points: gorgeous lustrous complexion enhances the artistically-painted expressive features, original wig, body, body finish, with original Jumeau chemise, bebe stays, socks, signed Jumeau shoes, original kid gloves, ivory satin couturier dress and lace-trimmed bonnet and parasol; few models are known to exist especially in this luxury size.
